Growing up behind the Iron Curtain shaped resilience early in my life. Beginning again in America required courage, discipline, and clarity of purpose.
That journey carried me from construction sites in New York to executive leadership roles in Texas — and revealed a principle I now teach:

“The Straw Gate to Freedom”
My childhood room in Wołów had one decoration — a simple straw mat hanging beside my bed. It wasn’t meant to be symbolic, but to me, it became a window into a world I couldn’t yet reach.
On nights when silence carried the weight of scarcity and uncertainty, I imagined that straw mat as a gate to somewhere brighter — a place where possibility lived. I didn’t have the language for dreams yet, only the feeling that life could be bigger than ration cards, fear, and empty stores.
I didn’t know it then, but that feeling would become the foundation of my leadership — imagination before opportunity.
